In about three years, millennials will pass up baby boomers as the largest pet-owning generation. By 2020, they’ll make up over half of the workforce. It’s a great way to attract younger workers.

They have found that people are willing to work longer, are more comfortable and more focused when they bring their pet to work.

For the employee, not having to hire a pet sitter or ask friends and family for help is a great asset as well. If a pet has to undergo a surgical procedure, recovery is much less stressful for the pet and the owner.

For the employer, pet friendly businesses are willing to invest in their employees beyond the work station. Employees recognize that. Pet friendly offices are an investment that is a win-win for all involved.

Depending on the business, pets can look forward to treats and exercise areas. Doggy boutiques and spas are other options offered by some companies. Many of these offices have cubbies so pets can have their own space.
