If You Lose Sleep, You Lose Money

It’s that simple. Cortisol (the stress hormone) goes up, and your health goes down. Businesses lose approximately 11 days per year in productivity.
Most people need 9-11 hours of sleep a night. There are people known as “short sleepers.” These people get by on 4-5 hours per night.
You can’t teach yourself to sleep less. In those cultures that traditionally survive on fewer hours of sleep (South Koreans and Japan), mental health problems rise exponentially.
Creativity also suffers. That’s what makes us different from machines.
